The itch that started it
Pick up a typical casino-resort feature and you will find the bedroom given a sentence while the slot hall gets a page. Gilded Pass turns that lopsided habit on its head. Our ten tickets describe each resort as a base for sleeping, eating and wandering out from, and the gaming hall gets exactly zero vote in where a property lands.
Printed on the back of every pass
- Nothing to play. Gilded Pass hosts no wagers, no sweepstakes, no demo games and no prize draws, now or later.
- Nothing to buy. We are not a reservations counter and collect nothing if a reader books a room.
- Nobody to thank. Not one featured property, owner or chain has a sponsorship, contract or partnership with us.
How a ticket gets written
Our raw material is what each resort publishes about itself, reporting on its buildings and neighbourhood, and plenty of time spent studying the map around it. Tickets are kept short by design and close with a line naming the guest who would enjoy that stay most. If you want the reasoning in full, the ranking method lays it out.
Spot a stale detail?
Resorts rename their dining rooms, shutter towers and swap flags on the facade more often than travellers suspect. If something on these tickets has drifted out of date, flag it on the contact page. Each tip is weighed against the resort's own published material, and the ticket is reprinted once we are satisfied.
